Pictionary — Neon Arcade

Multiplayer draw-and-guess party game on a glowing neon canvas. One player draws a secret word with neon brushes, everyone else races to pick it from 4 choices before the timer dies. Faster guesses = more points; the drawer scores too. Rounds rotate, gallery saves the winning drawings — playable solo for testing, best with friends.

Online draw-and-guess party game built as a single world component.

How to play

  1. PLAY → lobby → ready up (host picks rounds-per-player + round timer).
  2. Each round one player is the Drawer: mouse-drag paints glowing strokes on the shared canvas (8 neon brushes, 3 sizes, eraser, clear). The secret word shows only to them.
  3. Everyone else picks the word from 4 choices before the 60s timer expires. Right = points (faster = more, up to 200); wrong = locked out for the round. The drawer earns 75 per successful guesser.
  4. Drawer rotates until everyone has drawn; highest score wins.

Features

  • Live stroke replication to every peer; late joiners get a board snapshot.
  • Neon-arcade HUD: animated timer bar, pulsing scoreboard, toasts, synth sound cues (brush blip, rising-arpeggio correct, buzz, final-10s tick, round whoosh, win fanfare — all generated in-world).
  • Gallery of winning drawings + all-time scores + custom word packs, persisted in world settings.
  • Settings: SFX/music volume, sound captions, colorblind brush palette, high-contrast and large text.
  • Solo-testable: alone in the world you draw AND guess, so the whole loop works single-player.

Everything lives under /zero/source/pictionary/ — one game component, a word-bank module, and synth WAVs (regenerate with gen_audio.luau).
