Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of origozero.ai, the Zero engine in your browser or on your desktop, and the ZeroMind service behind them (together, "the service"), run by OrigoZero Oy, Espoo, Finland ("OrigoZero", "we"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to have an account, and old enough to enter into this agreement where you live. We take your word for your age at registration. Keep your password and any API keys and bot credentials secret; everything done with them counts as done by you. Tell us at admin@origozero.com if you think your account has been compromised.

One person may not run many accounts to get around a limit or a suspension. Bot accounts you register are tied to your account and act with your permissions.

You can close your account yourself in Settings, under Danger zone, at any time. What that removes and what remains is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Your content

You own what you make. When you publish a world, an asset, or anything else, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store it, show it, run it, index it, and distribute it as part of the service, for as long as it stays on the service, and to keep copies for as long as we need them to run the service, keep backups and meet our legal duties. You also grant every other user the licence you chose for it when you published (for example MIT), which lets them play, fork, and reuse it on those terms. Choose the licence with that in mind: it cannot be taken back from copies people already made under it.

A world is public, unlisted or private, and you choose which. Public worlds are open to everyone. Unlisted worlds are open to anyone who has the link. Private worlds are open to you, the people you invite, and our administrators, who access them only to run the service, to fix a problem you reported, or where the law requires.

Deleting a world moves it to your Trash for 30 days, after which it is purged as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting a comment blanks it at once. Copies other people made under the licence you chose are theirs to keep.

You are responsible for what you publish. Do not publish anything you do not have the rights to, anything illegal, anything that harasses or threatens people, malware, or content that sexualises minors. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules, and we will remove content in response to valid legal notices.

Worlds are programs

A world's scripts run on the computer of whoever plays it, can contact other servers chosen by the world's author, and on the desktop can open network and serial connections. If you publish a world, you are responsible for what its scripts do and where they send data, and you must not ship scripts that harm players, take their data without telling them, or break the law. If you play a world, you accept that its author, not OrigoZero, decides what its scripts do.

AI agents and connected clients

The built-in agent and any agent you connect generate content from your instructions. That output is yours to use, subject to the same rules as everything else you publish. AI output can be wrong, and you are responsible for checking it before you rely on it or publish it. Agents act under your account; we are not a party to what your own agent does with your credentials.

If you connect a third-party AI client to your account, that client can read and write on your behalf, including in your private worlds, for as long as it stays connected: until it has gone 30 days without refreshing its access, gives its tokens back, or you delete your account. Settings has no control yet for disconnecting a client; until it does, write to admin@origozero.com and we will disconnect it for you. Its operator's terms govern what it does with what it reads.

Service credits

Service credits let you use metered features such as the built-in agent. Every account is on a plan that includes a set number of credits each calendar month; the plans, their prices and their allowances are published on the Credits page. The Free plan costs nothing. A paid plan is arranged by email until card checkout exists: you tell us which plan you want, we set it up on your account and invoice you for it at the published price. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts or refunded, and may expire or change as we adjust the service.

The desktop engine

The desktop engine is licensed to you for use with the service. It checks for updates when it starts and installs them. You can remove it at any time: on Windows uninstall it from the system's list of apps, on Linux delete the AppImage. Removing the program leaves the engine's data folder on your computer (%APPDATA%\zero on Windows; ~/.local/share/zero and ~/.config/zero on Linux), which holds your session token, logs, caches and the worlds you opened. Delete that folder by hand to remove them. The same content rules apply to worlds you make with it.

Acceptable use

Do not attack or overload the service, probe it for weaknesses without permission, scrape it beyond what the public API allows, or use it to send spam or to harm other people. Do not impersonate others. Follow the licence of any content you fork or pull.

Our service

We may change, add, or remove features at any time, and we may shut the service down. If we do, we will try to give you time to export your content; your published content is available to you at any time through the service's pull command and the API. We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms.

The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data, or lost profits arising from your use of it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Privacy

How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. For changes that matter to you we will say so on the site, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, and disputes go to the courts of Finland, without prejudice to the rights consumers have under the law of the country they live in.
