Walk the showcase, alone or with friends. Four pads at the start switch your lives display (row of hearts, head and number, pixel 1-UP tokens, sci-fi pip bar). Then six sections each open with a checkpoint (flag, campfire, save crystal, pixel bell, beacon, teleport pad) followed by two hazards (spikes, lava, spinning saw, swinging axe, crusher, poison pool, falling rocks, flamethrower, laser grid, electric floor, bottomless pit, deep water). Near the end, three kill zones show their looks: an invisible boundary under the whole walk, a visible abyss you cross on a plank, and a glowing sci-fi out-of-bounds grid. Every part is labelled with its name, style and the one setting that picks it.
Lose all your lives and it's GAME OVER, with the lives you lost that run; Try Again starts a clean run from the start, with full lives and a deaths count of 0. Every player's lives and checkpoint are their own, and every player sees the traps move in step.
Use it in your own world: install the Trapline package. That one install is all: it brings the five kits Trapline is built on, at the exact versions it is built and tested on (SecondWind 1.2.0, Lifeline 1.0.1, MatchFlow 1.0.0, juiceKit 1.2.1, barsKit 1.2.0), with no order to follow. The package README lists each kit with its id and version, and has a first example with four hazards and two checkpoints that works in a fresh scene.
