Hitmark Range: Crosshairs, Hit Markers, Damage Numbers and Nameplates

A firing range that shows off markersKit, drop-in combat feedback for shooters and brawlers: 72 styles of crosshairs, hit markers, damage-direction indicators, floating damage numbers and nameplates, in six themes (realistic, sci-fi, fantasy, cartoon, pixel, minimal). Walk the range, press G for the style panel, and watch dummies take hits, crits, headshots, kills and heals in every style. Switch the whole kit with one theme or any single style with one setting. Built for multiplayer: only the attacker sees their hit markers and numbers, only the victim sees where a hit came from, and everyone sees the same nameplates with real names and health. To use it in your own world, install the markersKit package from ZeroMind (it brings healthKit, barsKit, Lifeline and MatchFlow with it) and add the Feedback component to any entity: healthKit damage drives it with nothing to wire, even in an empty world.

Hitmark Range: markersKit 2.0.5

A firing range that shows off markersKit, a combat-feedback kit for Zero: crosshairs, hit markers, damage-direction indicators, floating damage numbers and nameplates, ready to drop into any shooter or brawler.

What you get

  • 72 styles
    • 26 crosshairs: dot, cross, dynamic spread, shotgun ring, sniper scope, lock-on and themed reticles.
    • 8 hit markers, each with hit, critical, headshot and kill looks.
    • 9 damage-direction indicators, including off.
    • 19 damage-number styles: pop, arc, running combo totals, dramatic crits, soft green heals, pixel, comic and Lifeline's own styles.
    • 10 nameplates: name only, health bar, team, boss, pixel and themed.
  • Six themes (realistic, sci-fi, fantasy, cartoon, pixel, minimal). One call themes the whole kit, and one setting switches any single style.
  • A tagged catalog that lists every style with what it is for, so you can pick by need: spread, scope, heal, boss and so on.
  • Nothing to wire. healthKit damage, heals and kills drive the markers and numbers on their own.
  • Real health bars. Health-bar nameplates sit on real barsKit Bars that drop with damage and refill with heals.
  • Off means off. Switch the HUD off and everything goes; remove it and nothing is left behind.
  • Phone and web ready, in portrait and landscape.

Multiplayer

  • Only the attacker sees their hit markers and damage numbers.
  • Only the victim sees where a hit came from.
  • Everyone sees the same nameplates, with each player's real name and health. Your own plate is hidden from you.
  • The range dummies are shared, so every player watches the same health drop.

In the range

Dummies take normal hits, crits, headshots, kills and heals. Open the style panel with G, flip through styles with [ and ], and switch category with \. The panel has buttons for all of these too.

Use it in your world

Install markersKit from ZeroMind; it brings healthKit 1.0.0, barsKit 1.2.0, Lifeline 1.0.1 and MatchFlow 1.0.0 with it. Add the Feedback component to any entity and you're done, in an empty world too. The package README has the quick start, every style, the settings, the multiplayer rules and the known limits.
