EASING / RAMP HELPERS

argtypedescription
xnumber

ramp(t: number, a: number, b: number) → number

Normalised 0..1 progress of `t` across [a, b], clamped at both ends.

argtypedescription
tnumber
anumber
bnumber

sramp(t: number, a: number, b: number) → number

`M.ramp` with a smoothstep applied — the default for anything a viewer watches change, because a linear ramp reads as a machine.

argtypedescription
a{ number }
b{ number }
xnumber

movement(t: number) → void

Which movement `t` falls in, and how far through it is.

argtypedescription
tnumber

wetness(t: number) → number

How wet every surface in the world is, 0..1. Straight into the Weather component's `wetness`. Dry through movement I, arrives with the rain over ~14 s, and never fully dries again — the garden ends wet.

argtypedescription
tnumber

rainfall(t: number) → number

Rain intensity 0..1 — emitter rate, splash rate, the sound bed's level. A front that arrives fast, holds through movement II, and thins to nothing by the time the first blooms are open.

argtypedescription
tnumber

growth(t: number) → number

How grown the garden is, 0..1. Drives population instance counts, plant scale and moss coverage. Nothing until the stone is wet; then a long S that is still finishing when the sun arrives.

argtypedescription
tnumber

glow(t: number) → number

How much of its own light the garden is making, 0..1. Rises after the growth, peaks in the middle of movement III, and is guttered out by the sun.

argtypedescription
tnumber

sunElevation(t: number) → number

Sun elevation in degrees. NEGATIVE means below the crater rim and the scene is moonlit instead. Crosses the rim at the head of movement IV.

argtypedescription
tnumber

moonlight(t: number) → number

How much light the moon is contributing, 0..1 — full through movements I and II, gone by the time the sun is up.

argtypedescription
tnumber

shotAt(t: number) → void

The shot `t` falls in: its table row, its index, and 0..1 progress through it. Anything that must land on a cut reads this.

argtypedescription
tnumber

shotStart(n: number) → number

Film-time at which shot `n` begins.
