What it does

motion

The pure maths of every platform: vectors and quaternions, path and ping-pong poses with waits and easing, triggered runs, stepped rotation, beat on/off state, crumble and fall phases, the elevator's call queue (deterministic, whatever order calls arrive in), seesaw and rope-swing steps, and launch speed for a jump height. Every function takes settings and a time and returns a pose, so every machine asking for the same time gets the same answer. Used by the Platform component and the tests.

Interface

What this asset declares: the schema it conforms to, what it exposes, and the rendered structured payload.

conforms to

zero/source-extract/v2

platformsKit.motion: the pure maths of every platform. Each function takes settings and a time on the shared clock and returns a pose, so every machine that asks for the same time gets the same answer. No entities, no state.

stops(path: { any }?) → void

The stops a mover visits: its start {0,0,0} followed by every point of `path`.

argtypedescription
path{ any }?

pathPose(stops: { any }, speed: number, wait: number, loop: boolean, t: number) → any

Position along the stops at time `t` (seconds into the run; it repeats). `loop` true = round the stops and back to the start; false = to the end and back.

triggeredPathPose(stops: { any }, speed: number, wait: number, loop: boolean, t0: number?, t: number) → void

rotateAngle(axis: string, speed: number, wait: number, t: number) → number

Angle in degrees of a spinner at time t. With `wait` > 0 it turns in steps (90 degrees about y, 180 about x or z) and pauses `wait` seconds between them.
