What it does

NringChaseCam

Camera behaviour for the Nürburgring car. The scene's player camera points its Camera.behavior here; each player's camera follows that player's own car (the local DriveGame publishes it through nring.gamestate).

  • Chase — a rig behind and above the car that trails it with a smoothed lag, follows the car's pitch and roll, never dips into the hillside, and widens its field of view with speed for a sense of pace.
  • Cockpit — the camera sits at the driver's eye (nring.carvis EYE) and turns with the car.

Tunables are public fields (distance, height, look point, follow rate, base FOV and the extra FOV at speed).

Interface

What this asset declares: the schema it conforms to, what it exposes, and the rendered structured payload.

conforms to

zero/source-extract/v2

NringChaseCam: the Nürburgring car's camera behaviour (chase + cockpit). Port of drive-game js/main.js's chase rig, driven from the local car's physics state (nring.gamestate) rather than its drawn entity, so it costs no entity reads and never lags the car by a frame.
