What it does

[name]

One-paragraph description of what this module provides and who consumes it.

Exports

  • M.exampleFn(arg) -> result — what it does and when to call it.
  • M.exampleValue: type — what value it carries.

Usage

local M = require("@<youridentity>::modules.[name]")
M.exampleFn("foo")

Notes

  • Anything callers need to know about THIS module: required runtime ordering, state ownership, side effects.

Interface

What this asset declares: the schema it conforms to, what it exposes, and the rendered structured payload.

conforms to

zero/source-extract/v2

COINFALL's relic pool. A relic is a token that rides the shelf among the coins; push one over the ledge and the machine offers a draft of three. Passives are read by the machine and the run state every frame; actives are keybound, cost CORRUPTION to fire, and sit on a cooldown. Nothing here touches the world -- an active declares what it does and the machine carries it out, so the pool stays a table of rules rather than a pile of callbacks.

get(id: string) → void

One relic definition by id, or nil.

argtypedescription
idstring

pool(residue: number) → void

The relics a run may draw, given how much RESIDUE has been banked across previous runs. This is the whole of the meta-progression: residue does not make you stronger, it makes the pool stranger.

argtypedescription
residuenumber

rollPool(seed: number, residue: number) → void

Roll a run's draft pool from a seed. The pool is shuffled ONCE per run, so a seed always produces the same sequence of offers -- which is what makes a seed worth sharing.

argtypedescription
seednumber
residuenumber

nextRand( ) → void

draft(pool: ?, cursor: number, count: number, owned: ?) → void

Take the next `count` un-offered relics from a rolled pool. Returns the offer and the new cursor. When the pool runs dry it wraps, so a long run keeps offering rather than stalling.

modifiers(held: ?) → void

Collapse a set of held passive relics into the single modifier table the machine and the run state read. Every passive stacks multiplicatively for payout and additively for everything else.

argtypedescription
held?

actives(heldOrder: ?) → void

The held actives, in the order they were taken -- which is the order they bind to keys 1, 2, 3.
