What it does

toonClear

Cel-shaded see-through water, glass and gems for cartoon worlds (toonWater, toonGlass, toonGem). It follows clearMedium's see-through rules drawn flat: the room behind is read through the scene-colour copy, nudged by a flat refraction and tinted; the depth behind steps the colour from tint to deep_tint and draws a white foam line where the water meets things; the sun's light is cut into flat bands (after syntheticsMaterials' toonFinish, MIT). Glass adds the two slanted shine streaks of a cartoon window, gems flat-shaded facets with twinkling four-point stars, water drifting ripple strokes. Every pattern is periodic over one UV repeat, so it tiles; swapping waterStill → toonWater is a change of one name.
