What it does

fountaincourt

The FONTAINE part's grand parterre: the static formal garden laid out around the oval lake. A checkerboard promenade rings the water behind its stone coping; twelve gilded statues with raised torch cups and twelve bronze candelabra stand on the promenade; gravel walks continue the lake's axes, lined with conical topiary; elliptical rings of hedge scrollwork and softly glowing flower bands fill the parterre; a tall bosquet wall crowned with trees closes the garden room; and a twenty-eight-column colonnade rings the far horizon under a continuous entablature with a gold trim. The part itself (preseed.parts.p_sph) builds the lake and the fountain island; this module builds only the garden around them, all of it part-local with the promenade at y = 0 and the lake's long axis along x.

preseed/fountaincourt.module — the fontaine part's grand parterre, laid out around the oval lake. A vast formal garden: a checkerboard promenade ringing the water behind its stone coping, twelve gilded statues and twelve bronze candelabra on the promenade, gravel walks continuing the lake's axes lined with clipped topiary, elliptical rings of hedge scrollwork and glowing flower bands, a tall bosquet wall crowned with trees closing the garden room, and a twenty-eight-column colonnade ringing the far horizon under its entablature. Everything static: the part builds the lake and fountain; this module only builds the garden. All coordinates are part-local with the promenade at y = 0 and the lake axis along x.

# hedge Procedural hedge-fence generator. Sweeps a noise-displaced superellipse foliage section along a polyline or elliptical-arc centerline and returns Geo-style flat-array geometry ({ positions, normals, uvs, indices }) for Geo.mesh / Geo.merge. Renders best with the preseed.shaders.hedge_leaf material. - `geom(spec)` — a hedge run. Centerline from `path` (polyline) or `ellipse = { a, b, t0?, t1? }`. Shape via `height`, `width`, `boxiness` (dome → crisp trim), `taper`, and a `crown` treatment: `flat`, `scallop`, `crenel`, or `billow` (with `crownDepth` / `crownPeriod` / `meander`). `piers = { every?, atEnds?, finial = "ball" | "cone" }` adds pilaster masses with finials along the run. `noise`, `res`, `sectionPoints`, and `seed` control surface detail and density. - `topiary(spec)` — a freestanding clipped specimen with its base at y = 0: `kind = "ball" | "cone" | "spiral"`, sized by `r` / `h`. UVs carry (arclength in meters, height fraction). Open runs are closed with flat trimmed end caps; full ellipses weld seamlessly.

# fc_cobble Cobbled garden walk surface. A jittered-grid Voronoi lays rounded-square setts: F2-F1 opens sunken mortar joints, each stone crowns toward its center, and the height field's gradient perturbs the normal so every sett catches low sun on its own crown. Per-stone hashes pick between three stone tints and a wear-polish level; moss_amt creeps moss into damp joints. Pattern lives in world space — no UV dependency.

# mow_marble Polished veined marble surface for the mow estate's luxury stonework — portico columns, window trim, balustrades, urns, the grand steps and the fountain. Procedural: two ridged-fbm vein systems over a warm white base with sparse gold flecks, blinn highlight, fresnel sky sheen, and a ground-contact ambient-occlusion band (`ao_amt` / `ao_h` / `ao_y0`). Vertex color multiplies the base, so one material covers both white statuary marble and warm travertine.

# fc_lawn Formal mown lawn for a disc/ellipse ground cap. Reads the cap's centered UVs, so concentric mow stripes follow the entity's elliptical scale: alternating with/against-nap bands every stripe_width meters, blade grain in arc-length coordinates along the mowing direction, patch and dry-spot drift with bare soil in the driest spots, and a stripe-signed nap lean on the normal plus a velvet sheen that gives rolled turf its two-tone read under low sun.

# hedge_leaf Clipped hedge foliage surface shader. World-space noise builds the read in three registers: a clump register drifts young-growth tint across the surface, a leaf register hashes per-leaf tint jitter and perturbs the normal so lighting breaks into facets, and a gap register sinks low spots toward interior_color for depth between leaf clusters. Wrap diffuse + sun shadow, a sparkle-masked blinn highlight, and a back-light transmission lobe (sss) that rims foliage against a low sun. flower_amt sprinkles blossom clusters; ao_amt darkens ground contact. Pairs with the preseed.hedge generator's geometry.

# pat_checker Checkerboard kitchen floor for the pâtisserie part: two pastel tile tones on world XZ with recessed grout, per-tile tone jitter, and a glaze-wear mottle. Blinn highlight + shallow fresnel sheen read as glazed ceramic.
