What it does

deep_space

The sky of low orbit: no atmosphere, no horizon, no scattering. A black void with a three-layer star field, a dusty galactic band and a faint nebula wash, plus an optional hard pinpoint sun disc with no glow around it.

Every direction is treated the same — there is no up-vs-down split and no ground colour — so the backdrop reads as vacuum from any camera orientation instead of showing a horizon line. Stars are laid out on a cube-face grid, so they stay the same size everywhere instead of bunching at the poles, and they are stable in world space: turn the camera and the constellations hold still.

Tunables: void_color, star_intensity / star_density / star_size, band_color / band_intensity / band_axis, nebula_color / nebula_intensity, sun_disc_size / sun_disc_color / sun_disc_intensity, and exposure.
