orbital_body
Turns a sphere into the planet a derelict is falling around. Self-shading: it owns its own day/night wrap, so the terminator is soft and reddens, the dark side carries city lights instead of going flat black, and the limb gets an atmospheric scattering rim that wraps a little past the terminator.
Continents, ocean shelves, ice caps, a banded cloud deck and the city lights
all come out of one noise field evaluated along the fragment's direction from
the sphere's centre — no UVs, no textures. The ground and the deck turn at
different rates (spin_rate, cloud_speed), so the planet is visibly moving
under a wreck that is not.
