What it does

pad_sky (material)

The film's sky material, bound through the scene's Skybox. Carries the palette of @user::pad.palette — the void, the two star tints, the four astral colours and the ringed body — and the five dials the astral slice writes every frame: film_t, star_gain, band_gain, front_glow and uplight.

❒asset
# pad_sky The sky of Pastel Astral Dream: a lifted violet void, a three-layer twinkling starfield in its own dust, four star showers on their own periods, a pale ringed body whose rings turn, the nebula band that grows across the starfield through the film, and the warm underglow the cream sea throws up in act three. Every animated term reads `film_t` — the film's clock — so a seek renders the same sky every time it lands on the same moment. `band_gain`, `front_glow` and `uplight` are the three staging dials the astral slice drives off `film.column`, `film.frontX` and `film.uplight`; `ring_dir` is the direction to the ringed body and matches `@user::pad.palette.ringDir`.
