The air over the lava. A sheet held a little above the surface that bends what
is already drawn behind it rather than painting anything of its own: two noise
fields crawl against each other and displace the scene-colour read, the bend
running out with distance and opening up at a grazing view, with a faint warm
cast where it is strongest.
