What it does

AnimGallery

What animatedMaterials' gallery dressing needs at run time, reading only the material library: which library entries are this collection's (ids, isMine), the page and page size of the kit's "all" view that holds all of them on one ring (galleryLayout), where the ring's open gap stands for a scene piece (gapSpot), the stand that puts every bay in front of one deck instead (STAND, stand(plaqueTop) for each bay's slot, the banners and the heading, standSpot(i) for the i-th visitor's spot on the deck, standYardSpots() for the yard behind it), the soft lights the lava bays stand (BAY_LIGHTS), and the hold flags the test suite sets so AnimShowcase does not rebuild a gallery a test took down. After retroMaterials' RetroGallery (MIT).

Interface

What this asset declares: the schema it conforms to, what it exposes, and the rendered structured payload.

conforms to

zero/source-extract/v2

strict

lib( ) → any return require

strict

ids( ) → void

The ids of this collection's materials in the library, in library order.

isMine(id: string) → boolean

Whether a library id is one of this collection's materials.

idstring

galleryLayout(list: { any }, minSize: number) → void

The gallery page size and page that show every animatedMaterials material, and no other collection's, on one ring of materialLibraryKit's "all" view, for `list` = Materials.list(). Mirrors the core Gallery's pagination (categories kept together, a page broken before a group that would not fit).

list{ any }
minSizenumber

pageAt(size: number) → number

argtypedescription
sizenumber

groups( ) → void

This collection's entries grouped as the core Gallery's ring lays them out: { { category, count } } in ring order.

gapSpots(gap: number, out: number?) → void

Where the open gaps of the collection's ring stand when AnimShowcase sets the ring's gaps to `gap` metres (its `ringGap`): one per category group (the core Gallery leaves a gap after each), each { position, yaw, category } with the gap's centre on the ground at the ring's radius plus `out` metres and the yaw (degrees) that turns a piece's local +Z toward the middle of the ring; and the ring's radius. Mirrors the core Gallery's ring layout: bay 0 straight ahead (+Z), each category's bays, then its gap.

slotAt(focus: { number }, radius: number, angle: number, y: number) → void

stand(plaqueTop: number) → Stand

Where every bay of the collection stands on the stand: { slots = { [id] = { position, yaw (degrees, the bay's front toward the camera), row, elevation } }, rows, focus (the camera's spot on the ground), deck, banners, heading, top }. `plaqueTop` is the height of a bay's plaque top (the library's Gallery.PLAQUE_TOP).

argtypedescription
plaqueTopnumber

standSpot(i: number) → void

Where visitors arrive: on the deck, facing the stand, the i-th a little to the side of the one before. Returns position and yaw (degrees).

argtypedescription
inumber

standYardSpots( ) → void

Where the demo yard's two halves stand with the stand: behind the deck, facing it (one turn away for a visitor on the deck). Each { position, yaw (degrees, the yard's front toward the deck) }.

facing(x: number, z: number) → number
