Interface

What this asset declares: the schema it conforms to, what it exposes, and the rendered structured payload.

conforms to

zero/source-extract/v2

strict

_bind(component: any) → void

argtypedescription
componentany

ready( ) → boolean

Is the ground standing yet?

groundHeightAt(x: number, z: number) → number

How high the fen is at a point, in world metres. The dry flats sit near zero and a cut's bed at about -1.7.

argtypedescription
xnumber
znumber

waterDepthAt(x: number, z: number) → number

Metres of water standing over the ground at this point. Zero on dry ground, and zero on a plank, because a plank is a dry thing over a wet place and the walker on it is not wading. A full cut stands about 1.45 m — deeper than fl.TUNE.DOUSE_DEPTH, so wading one puts the lantern out. A ford stands about 0.55 m, which is why finding one is worth the walk.

waterLevelAt(x: number, z: number) → number

The world Y of the water surface over a point, or nil where it is dry.

argtypedescription
xnumber
znumber

inCut(x: number, z: number) → boolean

Is this point inside one of the Commissioners' cuts at all — including the fords and the planks that cross them? Cheaper than a depth query, and it is what a placer asks before it stands something up.

argtypedescription
xnumber
znumber

nearestCut(x: number, z: number) → void

The nearest cut and how far its centre-line is, for anything that wants to navigate by the fen's own structure rather than by a straight line.

argtypedescription
xnumber
znumber

nearestCrossing(x: number, z: number) → void

The nearest crossing to a point — a plank first, a ford if it is closer. What a jasey uses to get across, and what a hint could point at.
