TODO: describe this module.

Interface

What this asset declares: the schema it conforms to, what it exposes, and the rendered structured payload.

conforms to

zero/source-extract/v2

Locust — shared constants, the game blackboard, and the slice registry. Every slice requires this module and nothing else of each other's. It is the only agreed vocabulary in the game: the numbers below, the `state` table, the `systems` registry and the event bus. Read a neighbour's data here; never reach into a neighbour's files. local Locust = require("../locustCore.module") -- from a slice module Constants are a starting tuning pass, not a contract. The slice that owns a number tunes it here (each block says who owns it) and everyone else reads the tuned value on the next frame.

fieldCenter(col: number, row: number) → void

Helpers everyone needs. World-space centre of field (col, row), both 1-based.

colnumber
rownumber

fieldAt(x: number, z: number) → void

Which field (col, row) a world point falls in, or nil for track/verge.

xnumber
znumber

floorAltitude(radius: number) → number

The lowest a cloud of this radius can fly — its centre, so its underside is in the crop rather than under it. A bigger swarm rides higher, which is also why a bigger swarm is harder to hide.

argtypedescription
radiusnumber

feedAltitude(radius: number) → number

At or below this altitude a cloud of this radius is stripping crop. It is the same band above the floor whatever the swarm's size, so growing never costs you the ability to feed.

argtypedescription
radiusnumber

radiusForMass(mass: number) → number

Cloud radius for a swarm mass, interpolated between the two constants.

argtypedescription
massnumber

instancesForMass(mass: number) → number

How many locusts to DRAW for a swarm of this mass. Never below the floor.
