What it does

[name]

One-paragraph description of what this module provides and who consumes it.

Exports

  • M.exampleFn(arg) -> result — what it does and when to call it.
  • M.exampleValue: type — what value it carries.

Usage

local M = require("@<youridentity>::modules.[name]")
M.exampleFn("foo")

Notes

  • Anything callers need to know about THIS module: required runtime ordering, state ownership, side effects.

Interface

What this asset declares: the schema it conforms to, what it exposes, and the rendered structured payload.

conforms to

zero/source-extract/v2

The single table the director writes and the HUD reads. The UI and the director are separate components with separate lifecycles, and a component's `public` fields cannot carry a whole run. Rather than have the UI hunt for the director's entity every frame, both sides meet at this module-level table. It is nested and mutated in place, never reassigned, so a hot reload of either component keeps whatever the other one is holding.

bind(commands: ?) → void

Register the director's command surface. Called once per director awake.

send(name: string, ...: ?) → void

Fire a named command at the director, ignoring it when no director is live. The UI never assumes one exists -- a screen can be up before the director has awoken.

say(text: string, seconds: number?, now: number) → void

Put a line of subtitle text up for `seconds`.
