# fore
The band that passes in FRONT of the doctor: scaffold posts, sagging rope,
hanging chain and torn quarantine sheets, drawn almost black because they are
between the camera and the light.
It is mostly empty on purpose — a foreground band that covers the frame is a
wall, and one that never covers anything is not a foreground. Keep
`post_chance`, `chain_chance` and `sheet_chance` low.
The sheets billow and the chain swings, both from `time` rather than from any
CPU, so the frame is alive with nothing running. `rim` is the wash the fog
throws around a backlit silhouette; without it the band reads as a hole punched
in the picture.
Worn by `art.backdrops.band_fore` at z = +6, parallax 1.24 — it slides past
faster than the street, which is what sells the depth of everything behind it.
