What it does

jasey.model

Builds one Commissioner out of engine primitives and the jasey_* materials.

M.build(name, seed, parent?) returns { root, wig, notice, hips, arms, index }. The seed decides the figure's height, its width and the jitter on every curl, deterministically — so a Jasey built from seed 3 is the same Jasey on every machine and after every reload, and no two standing together are identical.

Nothing here ticks. jasey.brain drives the root's position and yaw, the two hip pivots for a stride, the two shoulder pivots for the counter-swing, the wig's lag on a turn, and the Light inside the hood.

M.HEIGHT is the figure's height in metres and M.pieceCount() is what one costs in entities, so a change to the model shows up in the budget rather than going quiet.

Materials it expects

jasey_wig, jasey_wig_under, jasey_coat, jasey_coat_soaked, jasey_void, jasey_linen, jasey_brass — all under /source/materials.

Interface

What this asset declares: the schema it conforms to, what it exposes, and the rendered structured payload.

conforms to

zero/source-extract/v2

jasey.model — the Commissioner's body. Builds one Jasey out of primitives and the `jasey_*` materials. The whole point of this file is the SILHOUETTE: a tall thin sodden figure, faceless, crowned with an enormous white powdered wig that reads at forty metres in fog and still holds up two metres from the lantern. Read it bottom to top and it is: two thin legs in ruined boots, the flared skirts of a frock coat, a narrow coated torso, a bar of shoulder, a throat with two linen bands on it, a head that is a hole — and then the jasey, a mass of curl half again as wide as the shoulders, which is the shape the player learns to fear at the edge of the fog. Everything is thin. A Commissioner is nearly three metres tall and about the width of a gatepost; that ratio is what makes it read as wrong at any distance, before a single detail is legible. Nothing here ticks. `build(name, seed)` makes the rig and hands back the handles `jasey.brain` drives; every number is local to the root, so the brain only ever writes the root's position and yaw and the wig's lag. Owned by the `jasey` slice.

rng(seed: number) → void

A small deterministic generator, so a Jasey built from seed 3 is the same Jasey every session and every peer. Two figures side by side must not be identical, and neither may they be different every reload.

build(name: string, seed: number, parent: any?) → Jasey

Build one Jasey under `parent` (or as a root when parent is nil). `seed` decides its proportions and curl jitter, deterministically.

noShadow(e: any) → void

Only the pieces that decide the silhouette cast a shadow. A curl inside the wig, a button, a torn strip: each is a shadow caster the eye would never find, and five Commissioners' worth of them is two hundred draws into every shadow cascade.

pieceCount( ) → number

How many entities one Jasey costs. The director logs it, so a change to the model shows up in the entity budget rather than going quiet.
