What it does

PulseCamera

Chase camera for Pulse Runner. Sits behind and above the runner (engine forward is local -Z, so "behind" is +Z) and looks down the track toward oncoming obstacles, tracking the runner's lane and jump height with damping.

The PulseRunner game manager attaches this to the active camera entity in play mode and points target at the runner. Runs at a high executionOrder so it writes the camera transform after any default behavior.

Public fields

  • target — runner entity id to follow.
  • distance / height — chase offset behind and above the runner.
  • lookAhead / lookHeight — where the camera aims down the track.
  • followX — fraction of the runner's lane offset the camera tracks.
  • stiffness — follow damping speed.
