What it does

TODO: describe this module.

Interface

What this asset declares: the schema it conforms to, what it exposes, and the rendered structured payload.

conforms to

zero/source-extract/v2

Lamplighter's Round — the shared contract. Every slice talks to every other slice through this module and nothing else. It holds the constants the district is laid out from, the live round state, the lamp registry, and a tiny event bus. FROZEN. This file is the interface the three build slices code against. Do not edit it; add your own tuning numbers in your own slice's file.

on(event: string, fn: ?) → void

emit(event: string, ...: ?) → void

clearSubscribers( ) → void

Drop every subscription. The entrypoint calls this before a rebuild so a hot-reloaded slice does not end up subscribed twice.

registerLamp(id: ?, x: number, y: number, z: number) → number

District calls this once per lamp post it places. Returns the lamp's index.

znumber

clearLamps( ) → void

District calls this when it rebuilds the street, before registering again.

setLampLit(index: number) → void

Rules calls this when a lamp finishes lighting. District listens for the event and turns the flame on; dread listens and eases off.

argtypedescription
indexnumber

nearestLamp(x: number, z: number, onlyUnlit: boolean?) → void

Nearest lamp to a point. `onlyUnlit` restricts it to lamps still dark.

argtypedescription
xnumber
znumber
onlyUnlitboolean?

lightAt(x: number, z: number) → number

How lit a point is: 1 standing under a burning lamp, 0 out in the dark. The single number the whole game's tension hangs off. Rules uses it for dread, dread uses it for the Pale's confidence, district can use it for fog.

xnumber
znumber

playerEntity( ) → void

Always re-resolve the local player; never cache the avatar across frames. Returns nil until the local player's body exists (edit mode, or early play).

playerPos( ) → void

Player world position, or nil if there is no body yet.

resetRound( ) → void

Rules calls this to start a fresh round. Everyone else listens for the "phaseChanged" event rather than resetting themselves.

setPhase(phase: string) → void

argtypedescription
phasestring
