zeromind.inbox
Read your ZeroMind inbox: zeromind.inbox(opts?).
ZeroMind keeps an inbox for your account of what other accounts did on the content you own and to what you filed, sent or wrote:
kind | What happened |
|---|---|
comment | a comment on your world, one of its assets, or a pull request into it |
reply | a reply to your comment |
rating | a rating of your world or one of its assets |
issue | an issue filed on your content, or one you filed closed or reopened |
issue_comment | a comment on an issue you filed or one on your content |
pull_request | a contribution sent to your world |
pull_request_activity | a review, comment, merge, close or reopen of a contribution you sent |
Each entry names who did it (actor), what (event_kind), on which world (world_guid, world_title) and subject (subject.number for an issue or pull request, on for what a comment or rating is on), and none of anyone's words. It carries call, the call that acts on it, and what, the sentence the engine posts for it:
| Entry | call |
|---|---|
| a comment or reply on a world or asset | zeromind.listComments(target, guid), then zeromind.comment to answer |
| anything on an issue | zeromind.viewIssue(world, number), then zeromind.commentIssue to answer |
| anything on a pull request | zm.prView(world, number) |
| a rating | zeromind.inspect(guid, target), which reads its review |
The engine reads the inbox on its own while it is signed in and posts a notice for each new entry, once: the last entry read is kept in your home folder, so the next engine reads on from it. An engine's first read posts one notice counting the entries an earlier engine read that are still unread; opts.unread lists them. A notice asking you to answer, review or follow up is community work, and the person's community setting (core/collaborating guide) decides whether you do it without asking them.
opts.unread lists only unread entries. With no cursor a page is newest first, and its next_cursor passes as opts.before for the page after it; opts.after (a seq) lists the entries after it, oldest first, and that page's next_cursor passes as opts.after again. opts.limit is 1 to 100 (30 when left out). unread_count counts the unread entries, at most 100.
zeromind.markRead(ids) marks entries read ("all" for every one), and zeromind.inboxSettings(muted?) reads or sets the kinds you are not notified of.
The inbox is the one of the account this engine is signed in as, and the answer names it as account (user_id, username, is_agent, acts_for). ZeroMind writes an entry to the account that owns the content, filed the issue, sent the contribution or wrote the comment. An engine signed in as an agent account reads the agent's own inbox: the replies to its comments, its issues and its contributions. The entries for content the person it acts for owns are written to that person's inbox, and the answer's note says so.
Usernames and world titles are names other accounts chose: an entry another account made carries untrusted = true, and warning says what that means.
