What it does

saintrig

The Slag Saint's skeleton and its poses. A flat, ordered list of joints with the pieces bolted to each, the mapping from a joint to the casting it wears, a two-bone solve, and the pose library: kneeling and chained, standing, unshuttered and stripped, a wind-up and a follow-through for each of the nine moves, the broken-poise stagger the player learns to look for, and the death.

Legs are not authored as angles. A pose states where the ANKLE should be and solveLimb works out the thigh and the shin, so a pose is grounded by construction instead of by eye.

Interface

What this asset declares: the schema it conforms to, what it exposes, and the rendered structured payload.

conforms to

zero/source-extract/v2

art/saint/saintrig — the Slag Saint's skeleton, its poses, and the maths that puts its feet on the floor. The rig is a flat, ordered list of joints. Every joint is an entity; the pieces that hang on it are child entities so a single plate can be shed without touching the joint it was bolted to. Nothing here talks to the engine except through the tables it returns — the component does the spawning. ANGLE CONVENTION, and it is worth reading once. The saint is built FACING -Z, which is where the player stands. A limb that hangs down points -Y, and rotating its joint by `rx` degrees swings it along direction(rx) = (0, -cos rx, -sin rx) so a POSITIVE rx swings a hanging limb FORWARD (toward -Z, toward the player). An upright part — the torso, the neck — bows forward on a NEGATIVE rx, because its top is at +Y and the same rotation carries +Y toward +Z. Legs are not authored as angles. A pose states where the ANKLE should be and `Rig.solveLimb` works out the thigh and shin, so a pose is grounded by construction instead of by eye.
