Tower
The machinery of NEKO-9 and the shape of the night. The scene entrypoint mounts it on `mount_tower`; it builds every mechanism the keeper works against and then drives them.

- Four pressure plates. A plate weighs the cats standing on it, in the
units
Core.C.CAT_WEIGHTgives each cat. The two in the Lobby take any one cat; the one on the Rooftop takesPLATE_HEAVY, which only Sumi carries. A held plate lights cyan and says so on the bus. - The lift. One brass cage in the shaft, with a gate laid over every landing it has not earned. Hold a floor's plates and the gate slides into the slab and the cage rises, carrying whoever is standing on the deck — keeper and cats alike. Once a floor is open the cage answers a call from it, so nobody is stranded a floor below the night.
- The Library. A glazed reading room in the south-east corner: glass on
the west face, a bookcase wall on the north, a cat door at the foot of the
glass. The plate is inside and the beam cannot pass the glass. The mirror
on its pivot turns 45 degrees on every
interactand is what puts the dot on the plate; where the beam lands depends on how high up the panel the keeper aims it. - The loft bed. Shut behind a slatted awning until the heavy plate says otherwise. A cat that reaches the mattress after that is asleep, and three asleep is the win.
- The clock. The night runs from the first laser to
NIGHT_SECONDS. Dawn at 1 with fewer than three asleep is the loss.
Everything it builds lives under tower_root beneath the mount, and a
run.reset rebuilds the whole subtree, so a restart replays from the first
minute with no scene reload.
Reading it and poking it
game.tower.api is the handle from outside — Api.readout() for what every
mechanism currently reads, Api.testWeight(id, w) to stand a weight on a
plate without a cat, Api.turnMirror() for one step of the mirror.
