What it does

icons

Vector glyphs for every ability and status effect abilitiesKit ships, as SVG documents (viewBox 0 0 64 64) for an svg widget.

  • Icons.svg(id, color, style?) returns the SVG for one id, drawn in color. style is one of default, scifi, fantasy, cartoon (thick dark ink outline), pixel (square caps, chunky strokes, crisp edges) or minimal (thin, no fill). Unknown ids draw a generic star badge.
  • Icons.ids() lists the 26 ability ids, then the 19 effect ids. Ids shared by an ability and the effect it grants (haste, doubleJump, wallJump, sprint) use the same glyph.
  • Icons.has(id) tells you whether an id has its own glyph.
  • Icons.define(id, inner) adds a glyph for a custom ability. inner is SVG markup that uses $c for the colour and $o for the soft-fill opacity.
  • lock, chain and generic are state glyphs the HUD draws over a slot.

The ability bar, the status icons and the gallery all call this module.

svg(id: string, color: string?, style: string?) → string

An SVG document (viewBox 0 0 64 64) for an ability or effect id, drawn in `color`. style: default | scifi | fantasy | cartoon | pixel | minimal (tweaks strokes, fills and outline). Unknown ids draw a generic star badge, so a custom ability always has an icon.

ids( ) → void

Every id with a glyph of its own: the 26 abilities then the 19 effects (shared ids listed under both).

has(id: string) → boolean

Does this id have its own glyph (rather than the generic one)?

define(id: string, inner: string) → void

Register (or replace) a glyph: `inner` is SVG markup in a 64x64 box using $c for the colour and $o for the soft-fill opacity; strokes inherit the style's width and caps.

styles( ) → void

The icon styles: default, scifi, fantasy, cartoon, pixel, minimal.
