A cozy fake forum app. Browse subforums of fake communities (r/fauxcats, r/fauxtech, r/fauxfood, r/fauxgaming, r/fauxplants, plus karma-gated r/fauxphilosophy and r/fauxvintage), upvote/downvote, dive into threaded comments, and submit your own posts. Votes accrue on an accelerated clock — a post climbs to Hot, and with enough momentum (plus replying to comments on your own post to give it a boost) it can hit the **Front Page**. Karma milestones unlock niche subforums and awards. No real users, no stakes — just the cozy rhythm of a link aggregator. Built as one self-contained world component (`FauxDdit.component`) owning state, the vote-clock simulation, and the full zui UI — bottom tabs for Home / Communities / Create / Inbox / Profile. All sound effects and the background music are procedurally synthesized in Luau (`FauxDditAudio.module`), no external audio assets. Progress (karma, your posts, comments, awards, subscriptions, settings) persists across sessions. ## How to play 1. **Home** — browse the aggregated feed from your subscribed subforums (Hot/New/Top sort). Vote with the ▲▼ arrows. 2. **Communities** — subscribe to subforums; niche ones unlock as your karma grows. 3. **Create** — submit a post: pick a subforum, give it a title and body. 4. Watch it rise on the accelerated vote clock. Open it and reply to comments on your own post to give it an extra boost toward the front page. 5. **Inbox** — notifications for rising posts, replies, and milestones. **Profile** — karma, awards, streak, and settings (volume, music, notifications, vote-clock speed, reduced motion, reset progress).
