About this world

# Manhattan Skies An arcade jet flight sim over a stylized Manhattan — a procedural island of tinted towers, landmark spires, two rivers and a harbor, with a chase-cam fighter jet built from a hand-lofted procedural mesh. ## Modes - **Time Trial** — race a course of glowing ring gates threaded between the skyscrapers. The next gate glows amber, an arrow and the minimap point the way, and every gate adds bonus seconds. Three courses: Liberty Run (harbor loop), Midtown Canyon (street-level slalom), and the unlockable Night Skyline. - **Free Flight** — open cruise. Touch down slow and level on a helipad (Hudson pier or the downtown rooftop) to finish. ## Controls | Key | Action | |---|---| | W / S | pitch down / up | | A / D | roll | | Q / E | yaw | | Shift / Ctrl | throttle up / down | | Space | afterburner (limited, recharges) | | Esc | pause | Arcade flight model: velocity chases the nose, lift builds with airspeed, stalls drop the nose below 95 km/h, and banking turns steer you through the canyons. Crashing into buildings, water, or streets ends the run — slow-mo explosion, respawn at your last gate. ## Progression Best times per course persist in the world. Clearing a course unlocks the next one — and clearing any course unlocks the faster red Interceptor. All audio is procedurally synthesized in-world (engine loop pitched by throttle, wind by airspeed, chimes, warnings, explosion, ambient bed).
