Vaporwave Revolution
First-person aesthetic explorer: wander an eternal-sunset dream plaza, awaken five shader-shifting shrines, hunt hidden glyphs, and trigger the Revolution. Chill — no timer, no fail state. Custom WGSL throughout: animated gradient sky with pixel sun, scrolling neon grid, chrome fresnel, rippling pools, and a full VHS post stack.
Vaporwave Revolution
an eternal sunset
Free-roam a dreamlike vaporwave plaza — endless checkerboard, Roman busts, chrome spheres, palm silhouettes, empty reflection pools, a pixel sun burning over a neon wireframe horizon.
How to play
- WASD wander · mouse look · E / click awaken shrines · Esc pause
- Find the five Grid Shrines around the plaza rim. Each one you awaken shifts the entire world palette one step brighter.
- Awaken all five and the Sun Idol wakes: the Revolution — sky bursts, palette flips, the grid accelerates.
- Eight hidden glyphs float in the plaza's forgotten corners. Collect them all for the gallery.
- Progress persists in the world — Continue resumes your awakened plaza.
Made of shaders
Every surface is custom WGSL: animated sunset gradient skydome, scrolling neon grid, chrome env+fresnel reflections, player-reactive water ripples, emissive neon statues, and a post stack of bloom, chromatic aberration, VHS scanlines/grain, and vignette — all driven live by shrine progress. The soundtrack (synth pad, wind hum, chimes, the drop) is procedurally synthesized PCM, authored in Luau.
Settings include VHS intensity, mouse sensitivity, subtitles, reduce-motion, and colorblind sigil modes.
