shared

Cross-tool helpers for the [name] toolbox. Every tool inside the toolbox can pull these in with require(".shared"). Holds the small set of helpers that more than one tool needs: toolbox-wide parsers, validators, formatters or shared state. Per-tool implementation stays inside each <x>.tool/init.luau.

Usage

local shared = require(".shared")

    return { id = shared.normalizeId(id) }
end

A tool returns its value, and error(message) fails it. The text zero [name] <tool> prints, the error text and the exit status are set by the tool's render.luau.

Notes

• Keep helpers pure where possible: no engine calls, no state, so they are safe to call from any context.
• Per-tool implementations own their own --!desc / --!arg / --!return / --!example annotations.
