edui_panels.inspector
The Inspector panel on edui — the selected entity's identity, relationships and
components, or the selected asset, rendered on the CSS-parity ui.* surface
through the edui field layer.
It reads the shared entity selection (modules.api.editor.selection).
Sections cover the entity header, Hierarchy (parent/children navigation),
Networking (sync), Transform (position/rotation/scale), and each component as
a card with an enable toggle.
A component card's body is the component's sections, rendered through
edui.inspector (Inspector.componentSections + Inspector.render): the
generic settings section shows the component's public fields — the schema
asset.schema(component) reads from its public table — as typed controls,
checks each edit against that schema and writes it to the live component as
one undoable operation. A component that ships an inspector.luau (the file
component.assetType names as inspector: { instance }) adds, replaces and
orders sections of its card; SceneModule and Generator replace settings
with their own.
A selected asset shows as its ordered sections (Inspector.renderAsset):
identity, tags, move, settings, preview and operations, merged with the
sections its type's inspector.luau declares.
Component schema is read through the backing asset, never through Rust.
