Panels opened to put a file in front of the user. edui.shown.open(path, { line?, title? }) opens a new dock tab around an edui.document and brings it to the front — one tab per call, beside whatever the user has open. The tab is editable where the file is text and follows the file on disk. Unsaved edits mark its tab, and closing it — the tab's X, or close(id) — asks the user to save or discard them first; close then answers false and why. Closing releases the document; no saved layout records it.

resolve turns an asset name, identity or guid into its VFS path; scratchPath(title, ext) names an unused file under /zero/source/tmp/show/ for text with no file behind it. The show toolbox is the agent surface over this module.
