README.md
plugin
Promotes a loose .wasm into a managed <stem>.plugin/ asset.
What it claims
A .wasm written anywhere under /source that is NOT already inside a
.plugin/, and whose bytes begin with the WebAssembly preamble. A component
already inside a plugin asset is that asset's own content and is left alone.
What it produces
A <stem>.plugin/ asset holding the component as plugin.wasm, with the
manifest, README and .metadata scaffolded by the plugin type itself. The loose
original is removed once the asset holds the bytes.
Why it exists
It is how a component becomes content. An author's build produces one file; this turns that file into an asset without them having to learn a directory layout or hand-write a manifest.
