bloomEnergy

The bloom reference: emitters of known size and light on black, and a specular highlight smaller than a pixel that moves.

Contents

  • ReferenceCamera: orthographic, 25.6 world units tall, on black with no ambient term. Captured at 256 x 256, one pixel is 0.1 world units and the frame's centre lies on a pixel corner; every size below is in pixels of that frame.
  • Emitter1px: a single-texel emitter, centred on the pixel 48 from the left and 40 from the top (postReference_emitter: 16 times the display's white).
  • Emitter4px and Emitter16px: emitters 4 and 16 pixels square, their edges on pixel boundaries, at 4.0 world units above the centre (pixel row 88 from the top), centred at x = 0 and x = 8.0.
  • MovingSpecular: a polished metal sphere lit by Sun (directional, intensity 6), its highlight a sub-pixel source; a Mover carries it round a circle 0.03 units (0.3 pixel) across at 1.5 radians per second.

The scene's player intent is none. Capture it with capture.fromCamera at 256 x 256, or put the viewport on ReferenceCamera and read renderer.presentedFrames. postMetrics.ringEnergy reads the light a bloom spreads around an emitter.
