generator
The parts of the Generator component (@builtin::systems.procgen.Generator).
The component makes one context table per instance, gen, holding its
public and private surface, and calls this module with it. Each part
installs its state and operations on gen:
realized: What a Generator has realized and from which graph: the entities, populations, meshes, materials and volumes it stands, tracked per output, and the retirement that keeps an output's earlier realization standing until its replacement lands.translated: A Generator's translated outputs: the states they stand as, the bounds it publishes for them, the frames play of a held output, and the clock a translated output is presented at.cook: Cooking a Generator's graph: the outputs it resolves, the node and frame caches a cook reads and fills, the cook's own state and costs, the world values a graph follows, the pacing of a cook on a worker, the inputs a cook takes, the evaluation of one output, and the per-node placement theplaybackreport reads.realize: Standing a cooked value as a Generator's children: a geometry, grid, bundle, population or asset reference realized under the generator, an output split into the pieces it realizes as, and the folding of outputs into the one bundleapplywrites.run: Running a Generator's bound graph: the bound graph and its signatures, its timeline and the clock each frame is cooked at, the cook that runs ahead through the timeline, presenting a cooked frame on the device, and standing a frames play of a held output.diskcache: A Generator's disk cache and baked snapshot: the outputs a graph declaresdiskCacheon, loaded from the world's cache, the writes a commit makes for them, and the snapshot an earlier engine stored with the scene.play: A Generator's play of its graph (call): loading, clocking, presenting, standing and advancing it; binding a graph to the generator (regenerate); and standing a baked snapshot in place of cooking.clock: A Generator's clock, frame by frame: the live sources it polls, the material clocks and live material values it writes, the playhead it presents, the transport its peers share, advancing time, cooking again once the device returns, and the tick each frame runs.
