README.md

loops_place

Gives every edge its ring and its position along it, from the ranked lists loops_cut and jump produced. ring is the first edge of the edge's list, so two edges are on one ring exactly when their ring values are equal; pos counts along the ring from that first edge. STAGE claim records each list's first edge in headof under the list's end (root); STAGE place reads it back for every edge and writes ring and pos from rank. core.boundary lists its loops by ring and pos. See loops for the whole sequence.

Over a live count (COUNT=device, see the abi README) the edges are the first domain_count slots of a capacity n, and the n param is not read. A slot past the live edges has the ring -1 and the position 0. It binds 7 storage buffers (6 in the plain variant).
