order_key

Maps the 32-bit word of a float or a signed integer to an unsigned key that sorts the way the value does, and back. zero_order_key(word, is_float) and zero_order_word(key, is_float) are inverses. A kernel that keeps the least or the greatest of many contributions runs atomicMin or atomicMax on keys and reads the same answer whatever order the contributions arrive in.
