core.names (procNode)

The names of every column a class of a geometry holds, sorted.

A class holds its structure columns (P on points, and id where the points are numbered; pt on vertices; vstart and vcount on primitives; closed and curve on curves), the stored numbers such as N and uv, and the attributes written on it. attribute.carry and core.concat move and join a class by walking this list, one column at a time.

Inputs

  • geometry (Geometry). The geometry whose columns are listed.
  • class (one of point, vertex, primitive). Default "point". The class whose columns are listed.
  • links (Bool). Default true. Whether the columns that tie the classes together (pt, vstart, vcount, closed, curve) are listed; false lists the other columns of the class.

Outputs

  • names: the sorted list of column names.

Example

local grid = g.mesh.grid({ size = { x = 2, z = 2 }, cells = { x = 2, z = 2 } })
local names = g.core.names({ geometry = grid, class = "point" })

The grid's points hold N, P and uv, listed in that order.
