points.grid (procNode)
A regular grid of points in the XZ plane, centred on the origin: the centres of a grid.box one cell thick, laid out x fastest, then z. Use it for rows of posts, tiles, crops and any even layout on the ground.
The centres of a grid.box one cell thick at height y, as Points numbered by id. A count is rounded down and is at least 1.
Built from: grid.box, points.from_grid, math.*.
Inputs
countX(Float, default 4, at least 1). How many points along X. Below 1 reads as 1.countZ(Float, default 4, at least 1). How many points along Z. A count of 1 leaves a single row running along X.spacing(Float, default 1). Distance between neighbouring points, the same on both axes.y(Float, default 0). The height the whole lattice sits at.
Outputs
points(Points). countX * countZ points carryingPandid.
local tiles = g.points.grid({ countX = 8, countZ = 8, spacing = 0.5, y = 1 })
