proc.translate

Turning a geometry into scene things, and keeping them that way. For each attribute on the domain being translated it asks the engine whether a component answers to that name: one that does carries that component's data across the elements, and one that does not stays data the graph carries. An attribute named after a component holds that component's value whole, one record per element; an attribute a component declares as feeding one of its fields (ecs.Transform declares that P feeds its position) carries that field on its own. cook gathers what a frame's attributes hold for each component, and apply presents a cooked frame: it spawns and despawns exactly the difference in the element list, adds and removes components, and writes only the fields whose digest moved. Elements standing as entities stand as the hierarchy they state: an element's name names its entity, and its parent, the id of another element, hangs it under that element's entity; both are written when the elements, their names or their parents change. man proc.translate lists every function with its arguments.

Part of @builtin::systems.procgen.proc; reached as proc.translate.
