instances
Placing copies of a source on points, varying them, and realizing, drawing or spawning the result.
The definitions live in proc.ops.instances; this pack is what puts them
in the op registry, so procgen.searchNodes("", { pack = "instances" }) lists the family
and procgen.describeNode("op.<id>") describes any one of them.
Ops
instances.on_points— Stand a source on every point: a geometry or mesh is carried by each point as its Mesh (and its material as its Material), placed by P, orient and scale — a Generator draws the points as one instanced draw placed on...instances.randomize_transform— Per-instance random yaw/tilt/scale Field<Transform> for a point cloudinstances.pick_random— Stand one of several sources on each point, dealt by a seeded, weighted draw: each point's Mesh is its index into the sources, which the points' detail listsinstances.pick_by_attribute— Stand one of several sources on each point, picked by an integer point attribute: each point's Mesh is its index into the sources, which the points' detail listsinstances.realize— Copy the source standing on every point into one merged Geometryinstances.spawn— Spawn one addressable entity per point of a population (live, per-instance transform)instances.draw— Draw a population as one hardware-instanced draw per source variant, each with its own source materialinstances.set_material— Dress every point of a population with one material: its Material, read when the points are drawn, realized or spawnedinstances.transform— Rigidly transform a population: move/rotate the layout and rotate/scale each instanceinstances.from_bundle— Spawn a .bundle prefab at every point (positioned by the per-instance transform)
