procgen.inspect
Node-level introspection for a .procGraph graph: one node's op, the input
and output sockets its op declares, the references feeding each of its inputs
(producers), and the nodes that read its outputs (consumers).
graphis the graph, by its VFS path or its name, or a graph object.nodeis the node's id. A graph of the call form names each node it records after the node it calls and a count,box_1for the firstg.mesh.box(...);procgen.explainandprocgen.tracelist the ids.
op is the op id, or for a node that runs a .procNode the reference to that
node asset. inputs and outputs are the op's declared sockets, params the
node's stored param values, producers the reference wired into each input
({ kind = "node_output", node = "vec3_1" }), and consumers each
{ node, socket, output } that reads this node.
tools.use("procgen", "inspect", { graph = "/source/fx/Pebbles.procGraph", node = "disc_1" })
Part of procgen.toolbox, called as tools.use("procgen", "inspect", ...)
(zero procgen inspect in the engine shell). Returns { node, op, description, inputs, params, outputs, producers, consumers }.
