demo
Ground textures the package publishes: five surfaces as an albedo and a normal
map each: cliff, earth, grass, rock, snow (cliff_diff and cliff_nor,
earth_diff and earth_nor, and so on, under demo/textures/).
They are here to be USED. A landscape's surfaces name them as their albedo and
normal: terrain.write takes a surfaces list of { name, tint?, albedo?, normal?, mask?, tiling? } records, each matched by name to a layer in its
layers, and an albedo or normal is a texture identity such as
@builtin::systems.terrainSystem.demo.textures.earth_diff. The bake resamples each
distinct texture into a slice of the texture array the splat surface samples.
Other packages reach for them as ordinary textures too: a material test wants a real image rather than a solid colour, and these are the ones every world already carries.
