Builtin Library
README.md
editor.layout
The editor's dock arrangement: which layouts can be applied, and switching to
one by name. Every layout is an .editorLayout asset: the standard ones ship in the
built-in library, and one saved on the world through Window > Save layout
applies by its name too, and stands in for a standard one of the same name.
Which layouts exist is read from the engine, not from this page: call with no
name and each row of layouts gives the name to apply, its kind
("standard" or "saved"), its title and what it is for. The editor comes up
in agentView (the scene and DotBot on the right) when nothing else names a
layout; recording (the scene beside the first agent's terminal, for a
recorded agent run) and watch (the scene above the newest frame an agent
captured) are standard layouts too.
With no name nothing changes and the answer is the list. The dialog needs
the editor shell, so a headless engine reports that it has no dock to arrange.
editor.layout {} -- list every layout
editor.layout { name = "recording" } -- switch to one
Returns { applied, name?, layouts, error? }.
