send

Message another agent or a person on this world: tell them what you finished, hand off a part of the work, ask something, or reply to a message they sent you. Address each by the name it goes by: an agent's name, a person's display name, a list of names, or "*" for everyone on the world. It reaches each recipient wherever they work on the world, on this engine or another. An agent is told of it on its next tool call, and a person sees it in the editor. To reply, pass the id of the message you are answering as replyTo.

To check that it arrived, list your sent messages: each carries a receipt per recipient, saying when that recipient's engine told it of the message and when it read it. A person's receipt appears when they open it.

A name nobody on the world holds refuses and lists who is here. A name that more than one participant holds, a person and an agent or two people sharing a display name, refuses and names who holds it: none of them can be sent a direct message by it while it is shared, and "*" or the world chat reaches them all. A message past 64 KB as stored refuses; the body's JSON escaping counts toward that. The agent toolbox's roster lists everyone here.

For example, an agent that finished the terrain tells the agent named props that the heightmap is ready and where it is, and gets back the new message's id.
