Control the retroactive ring buffer — an always-recording, bounded history of the last N seconds of per-frame data. It exists because an agent's tool calls land seconds after anything happens: with the ring on, you read the frames AROUND a spike AFTER the fact instead of having to start a recording before it (which you can't, because you don't know when the spike will come). ring("on", seconds) starts it (default 20s), ring("off") stops and clears it, ring("status") reports how many frames and seconds it holds. Then read the history with retro. Editor profile only, and off until enabled — so it costs nothing until you ask for it.
