Manage the live world while you work — flip between edit and play, and compose additive scene layers.
Flip into play mode, which starts scripts and physics and rebuilds the scene for play, and back to edit, which stops them and rebuilds the scene for edit; edit refuses while play left changes unaccepted, until they are accepted, rejected or discarded (see wld.edit). Query the current mode any time. Load a scene as an additive layer alongside the current one, unload it, or show and hide layers without losing their entities. List the worlds saved on disk, and read the current world state: name, mode, active layer, and available scenes. To list the loaded scene layers or the scenes available to load, use scene.loadedLayers and scene.list.
Saving and loading scene snapshots is the scene toolbox (the scene.save, scene.load and scene.list tools).
