FoodPatch

A disc of food on the ground. A FruitFly finds every patch in the scene and drives its tarsal taste neurons by the patch's sweetness while a front foot is inside the disc, and its labellar taste neurons while the extended proboscis is. The disc draws itself, tinted by how sweet it is.

A patch carries sweetness and nothing else. MaleCNS v1.0 labels no bitter gustatory receptor neuron, so there is no honest cell type to drive with a bitter reading; whether such a path exists in the data is one of the things the bench is for.
