still_glass

The column wall of the eight-plate still.

Nearly nothing seen face-on and almost the whole picture at a grazing angle, which is what makes a cylinder read as glass from inside it: the far wall stays clear and the near rim carries the light. Condensation is a droplet field gated by vertical run marks; it both roughens the surface and thickens it, so a wet band goes opaque where a dry one does not. Two-sided — the normal is flipped on a back face — so the still reads the same from inside and from out.
