❒asset
# glow What the food on the ledges is made of: glow-grubs, bone limpets and crowfoot blossoms all draw with it. The body takes a little of the colour as albedo and the rest as emissive, with a rim term so a round thing reads as lit from inside rather than as a flat disc, and a slow breathing pulse. Every one of them is one material — they differ through `renderer.instanceData`: lane 0 is `(intensity, phase, pulseRate, rimBoost)` and lane 1 is `(r, g, b, -)`, so a cyan grub and a yellow blossom share the pipeline. A lane-0 intensity of 0 falls back to the material's own `intensity`, and lane 1 at zero falls back to `tint`, so the material still renders for an entity nothing has written.
